A-F Report Cards Show Continued Need for Transparency, Easy-to-Understand Metrics

Oklahoma City (October 28, 2016)
 – Jennifer Monies, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Achieves, released the following comment on today’s State Department of Education release of the A-F state report cards:

“Business leaders, just like parents and teachers, want every Oklahoma student to have access to the very best education possible,” Monies said. “We know from the release of the A-F school grades today every school has strengths that should be championed and weaknesses where improvement must occur. As we look to improve our state's accountability system in the next legislative session, it is imperative that we remain transparent and data-driven in order to give schools, parents and communities clear paths to improvement with easy-to-understand metrics.”
